Strosniders stands as the polar opposite of big box and on line retailers that dehumanize and commoditize their beleaguered employees in a never ending race to the bottom of lowest possible pricing. Has anyone ever considered the cost of dignity when making a purchase? Walking into the store in Bethesda is like stepping into a Time Machine from the 1970s. The store is teaming with knowledgeable and friendly staff of every age and background. Far from simply knowing which merchandise is located in which aisle, their seasoned professionals can make suggestions on how to best solve your problem because they have actual knowledge about the proper and best use of the products they sell. Have you ever wasted good money on some piece of Amazon garbage that had good reviews? It is with tremendous gratitude that I knowingly pay a little more than I would at Home Depot or Amazon. It is absolutely worth the personalized attention and service I get there. On top of that is the fact that they hire high school kids helps keep our economy local. Spending my money at Strosniders also helps our local economy. It’s a win all around. Well done Strosniders. 10 stars out of five."

"As others have said, this is a very well-stocked store with helpful and knowledgeable staff. I've been able to find a lot of things here without having to resort to a big-box store. For those who might have seen my earlier negative review, I had an issue with one of the managers. The next day the GM not only responded to my review but phoned me to say that he had investigated the incident and verified my account with the other employees present, as well as making the other shift managers aware that what that guy had done was wrong. I.e. they weren't just throwing a gift card at me to make a negative review vanish. So I really appreciated that there was actual CAPA."

"As a contractor, words cannot put into the joy that Strosniders brings to every visit. It's impossible to just run in for one thing and not be gobsmacked by the inventory and array of options that Strosniderr's provides. The Bethesda store in particular is incredible, it's like Home Depot, Bed bath & beyond (RIP), and your favorite outdoor gardening store all rolled into one. If I could give it six stars I would. 😊"

"I've only been in the area for a few years but I'm so glad that Strosniders is nearby. I've been a lifelong fan of Ace Hardware and Strosniders is a great one. I was in the store last weekend and split my purchase into two transactions as I bought some soil while I was waiting for my paint to be mixed. My coupons didn't work b/c of the split transaction but Sara at the customer service desk did a great job figuring out the problem and she got everything sorted out. She is a real whiz on the POS system and really cared about making things right!"
